The beauty in each season: season of preparation.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:3-11)

1 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

The wait. The preparation. The constant, day in and day out focus on being faithful in the simple everyday task- where character, perseverance, faithfulness and perseverance is built. When we are caused to trust in Who He is, in His timing, that He will lead us to where we need to be when we need to be, while all we need to do is focus on being faithful and trust He has us exactly where we need to be. Ahhh such a unique season, if only we were to constantly remember that it is to set us up for what is next. You see when we come to know Jesus and we ask Him to use us, He has to prepare us... He has to mould us to be like Himself.. He has to shape us, renew our minds, change the way we see and think of Him, ourselves, others so that when He does send us out we will be ready. Ready for what exactly? To be the best us we can be so that others can see Jesus. So that through their conversations with us, they can encounter God. So that we can be His ambassadors, so that we can love people like He does and be the salt and light he has called us to be.

so. Let's not fight this season. Let's not complain that we are "stuck" and it seems like we are going nowhere. Let's not ask God to bring us across the valley when He is trying to teach us how to live on this side of the mountain. Let's keep our hearts open, ready to embrace all He has. To learn all we can, to be ready for Him to work in us and through us and show us how to live and be like Him. Let's choose to trust Him and lay our life down for the King who gave it all for us.

Much love, Alexa.
